A couple weeks back, I had the opportunity to visit a friend in Salem, Oregon. I've spent a little time in Oregon for work related matters in recent years, but I haven't taken advantage of all it has to offer. What a beautiful area! My host went above and beyond to make sure my trip was packed with the most. We explored his family's farm, chased cows, climbed trees, played in an old barn, swung on a rope swing, hiked a hill, went to the beach, flew a kite, ate greasy seafood, climbed a sand dune and ran back down, played with sea anemones, watched the sunset along the coast and took in the beauty of spring at the tulip fields. What an incredible sight! Lucky for me, I was able to relive it a little bit last weekend with Em at Thanksgiving Point. I'm loving tulips this spring season--the colors, the shapes, the stages of the bloom. I heart tulips.
Of course my pictures do not do any justice to the beauty of the field, but I'm trying to be a better blogger. . .we'll see how long this effort lasts.
